Sydney
Tuesday, April 17th, 2007After 11 days at sea we finally make it to Sydney. Wind was either on the nose or there was no wind at all. And when it finally started to blow up, we had the Eastern Australian Current of up to 3 knots against us But whatever conditions there were, we had a great time together!
Bobbing around on the ocean like a cork on a becalmed day, we could have switched the engine on but then we decided to can sit this out. The result are some funny lines on the map, because whenever we made some headway the next calm hour made us drift back again past the location we were hours earlier…

Sunday, April 8th, 2007After waiting some time in Western Port (watched DVDs on board we are finally on our way to the Prom. Hard against the wind but not much swell, Smooth sailing, people are reading books or sleep…
We all fell in love with our new crew mate and although I’ve heard about her qualities I had NO IDEA how perfect it can be!!! The windvane is better then everything I have ever experienced. No matter what seas she is so incredibly steady that no human being or electrical autopilot will ever match her. I mean, I just set her up and don’t have to worry about anything! no noise but perfect on course.
Aside this have we caught and eaten already 5 fishes. Everything works well and with this new wind we get into the groove….
